Sunday / 16:00 - 17:30
Theme: Pulpeadas - Entangled Legss

"In Argentine Tango, pulpeadas are an advanced series of complex, interconnected leg movements and wraps, often involving sacadas (displacements) and enganches (hooks), named in honor of the dancer Norberto "Pulpo" Esbrez, who popularized and developed many such intricate figures.
The term "pulpeadas" is a colloquialism, essentially "octopus steps," referring to how the legs intertwine and wrap around each other in a convoluted manner, similar to an octopus's tentacles."

We invite you to learn some cool Pulpeadas that you can nicely chain up to an impressive sequence of leg entanglements. You should be fluent in Ganchos to participate in this workshop.
Monika Stach and Laurenz Wiskott have only found each other recently, yet they dance together with a rare harmony — as if they had been partners for decades. Their dance flows effortlessly between softness and precision, playful curiosity and deep connection, making even the most complex movements look natural and easy.
Laurenz Wiskott has been passionately addicted to Argentine Tango since 2008. For him, tango brings together many of his earlier passions —    juggling, aikido, music and ballroom dancing — into a unique style that is soft, clear, playful and highly responsive.

He is an active organizer and DJ of a regular Neolonga in Bochum and is known for his creative and musical approach to dance and teaching.

Rooted in traditional tango and inspired by Neo tango, Monika Stach explores dance as a blend of structure and freedom. With influences from ballroom, Latin and Brazilian Zouk, her style is fluid, musical and deeply connection-driven, shaped by a soft, elegant and flowing quality of movement.

She believes that strong technique and balance are what allow creativity, grace and real connection to emerge — and that’s exactly what she brings into her workshops.

In their workshops, Laurenz and Monika focus on principles rather than  memorized figures.

They aim to give dancers tools that can be played with, adapted and combined freely, so participants can create their own variations and sequences. Especially in a topic like Pulpeadas — Entangled Legs, this approach allows dancers to move beyond patterns  and discover a rich, playful world of shared movement, sensitivity and creative leg interplay.

Together, they invite you to explore tango as a dynamic dialogue —  grounded in technique, open to experimentation, and full of joy, flow and connection
